Many of our clients want the ability to edit their website themselves without having to call us for every little change. We highly recommend that if our client has the bandwidth and some basic PC skills that they consider this option. It makes it easier to keep the website fresh and can save some money in the long run. We offer an extremely simple to use back end editor (content management system) that allows our clients to do exactly this if they wish. If you are familiar with Microsoft Word, you can master the editor system already. Of course every one of the websites that we sell with a content management system includes on-site training on how to use the system.
What this means, is that you don't have to know anything about HTML, or any other programming language or have to purchase any other programs. The content management system we use is accessible from any PC with internet access after entering the secure user name and password. This system also allows for data to be stored on the website server such as responses to completed forms, etc. It also allows the client to upload pictures to be added to a page, turn pages on and off, create sub-pages, create internal and external links to files like PDF's and or to other websites. All without having to contact Ascend.
