Ascend was incorporated in October, 2002 by Ed Diamond, current President and Melanie Diamond, Director, because they saw the future benefits that the Internet could provide to small and medium sized businesses. Ed Diamond, President, has built his career and reputation around providing superior customer services for over 29 years in Telecommunications and High Tech Industries. He worked in the telecommunications industry for VMX, Octel Communications and Aspect Communications. He was: Vice President of Operations for VMX Systems Company, Midwest. Western Region Director of Operations for VMX. Regional Technical Services Manager for Octel Communications. Director, Customer Operations, Central US & Canada for Aspect Communications before starting Ascend Business Solutions.
Melanie Diamond, Director, has a BA Degree in Training and Education from Eastern, a Technical Degree in Telecommunications from DePaul. She started her career at AT&T in Customer Service, then worked for Telcorp, a Value Added Reseller of PBX's, Voice Processing Equipment and Video Conferencing systems where she was responsible for special project implementations and managing the System Design Consultants as well as developing training materials for both employees and customers.
